Destination Wedding Photographer
When I first began my business I never dreamed that I would be able to add the title of Destination Wedding Photographer to my resume. Did I want to do it? Heck yea! Did it seem like a pipe dream? Absolutely! Yet here I am, less than three years into my growing business with several out-of-state weddings under my belt and so so so much love for the incredible couples and friends who have helped to provide me with the status of Destination Wedding Photographer…like Molly and Joe!
Molly & Joe
Molly is one of my nearest and dearest friends. It’s hard not to grow close to someone when you’re halfway marooned together in Guatemala eating #alltheblackbeans and convincing each other you’re not homesick. Molly and Joe actually met in Belize during our time together in Central America. Molly was on vacation and met Joe, who worked for an international NGO at the time, on a tiny little island in the middle of nowhere. They became friends and left it at that…until Joe got in touch a few months later via Gchat…and the rest, as they say, is history!
Molly and Joe truly could not be more spectacular together. They are both old souls with a love for deep conversation, cozy nights, and close, lifelong friendships. Together, they hold fast to their cultures and traditions and are socially conscious, always striving to help family, friends, and their surrounding community however they can. Also, have I mentioned that they are basically just all around the greatest? Because they are.
Their Big Day
Molly and Joe’s wedding day could not have been more perfectly them. Every detail was so exquisitely crafted to create a unique display of their love of one another and the people closest to them.
Their day started with a traditional Jewish Tisch wherein loved ones shared marital advice for the happy couple. Next came the Bedeken where all the men danced and sang Joe from his room over to her room to reveal the beautiful bride! After their first look, Rabbi Shira read the couple’s Ketubah, or marriage agreement, before they signed it. From there, the bridal party whisked the bride and groom to their stunning ceremony featuring items from Molly and Joe’s childhoods and seven blessings followed by their first kiss and OF COURSE the breaking of the glass!
Once the ceremony ended, Molly and Joe took a few moments for themselves before portraits in the gorgeous gardens of Galleria Marchetti (so much goodness below!) After some traditional dances, The Mix – AKA one of the BEST bands – got the entire crowd on their feet. Even when ice cream sandwiches arrived on the scene you could not get anyone off the dance floor if you tried!
Molly and Joe, I love you both DEARLY and am SO grateful to have been a small part of the incredible celebration of your love that was your wedding day. Joe, may you never stop looking at Molly the way you did that day. Wishing you all of the happiness in the world <3.
