When I asked Megan and Patton where they wanted their engagement photos taken, they knew they wanted it to be in an area with a connection to them both. So what better location than Downtown RVA where they both work and enjoy spending time together?
Megan and Patton selected the Garden Club of Virginia as their first location, a beautiful building with lush greenery located directly next to Patton’s office! From there, we wandered across the street to take images on the steps of the Richmond Public Library, before crossing one more time to the Linden Row Inn, where Megan and Patton will be staying the night of their wedding!
All these gorgeous and meaningful backdrops all within literally 100 feet? What could be more perfect???
After capturing all of the images we had originally discussed (and that they had provided information about in their engagement session questionnaire – more on that soon!), I asked Megan and Patton if there was any other types of imagery they had in mind for their engagement session. And that’s when Patton made the suggestion to walk downtown Richmond’s Broad Street for a fun mixture of elements and design (that’s what happens when two designers get married and let their creative juices flow!)
Megan and Patton, I had SUCH a fantastic time wandering downtown Richmond with you both and I can’t wait to celebrate your big day with you at the John Marshall Ballrooms in December!!
